MICHAEL MAGER

Havana Youth Strangled, Pinned In Window

A 10-year old boy was strangled Saturday when his neck became pinned between the sash and the sill of a window at his family's farm near Havana.

Coroner Richard Hurley said the sash apparently fell on Michael Mager as the youth tried to climb thru the window in a summer kitchen building.

The coroner estimated the boy had been dead about an hour when his mother found his body dangling outside the small building.

Michael was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Mager of the Long Branch community, about five miles southeast of Havana in Mason county.
