Andrew J. Murray Died Following Long Illness

A. J. Murray died Monday morning at 8:15 at his home in the north part of town, following an illness of several months duration. Death was due to heart trouble and other complications.

Andrew Jackson Murray was born Dec. 6, 1854 at Frederickstown, Mo. For many years he lived in St. Louis, Mo., where he followed his trade, that of a machinist.

He was twice married. His second wife being Mrs. Elizabeth Stauffer whom he married October 28, 1909. He was a member of the Christian church and the I. O. O. F. lodge.

Besides his aged wife, he is survived by one son, W. A. Murray, of Los Angeles, Calif., one daughter, Mrs. E. A. Colburn, Denver, Colo., one stepson, Clarence Stauffer of Godfrey, Ill., and one brother, T. M. Murray, Sacramento, Calif. Also four sisters, Mrs. F. F. Davis, Gabrill, Calif., Mrs. Joe Liddle, Caldwell, Wash., Mrs. John Poole, Pitcher, Okla., Mrs. John Davis, Wichita, Kansas.

Funeral services were held today at 2 o’clock at the Christian church, conducted by Rev. E. W. Braun. Interment in Bader cemetery.
