Miss Marjorie Moore, aged eighteen, of Niota, Hancock county, was instantly killed early Saturday morning when an auto driven by Gibson Strausbaugh, Blandinsville youth, and occupied by a total of eight young people struck a truck and concrete mixer three-quarters of a mile east of Dallas City. The young people were in a Ford sedan and were riding four in each seat. They were on their way to the girls’ home from a dance at LaHarpe. The concrete mixer was being moved under a proper state permit and carried lights on front, rear and sides. The car was literally smashed to bits and all of the occupants suffered some injuries.
