MARY (VAIL) McCAMANT

McCammant

IPAVA — Mary, daughter of Jonathan and Elizabeth Vail was born near Table Grove, 61 years ago and passed away at the Graham hospital at Canton, Wednesday, July 16, following several months of failing health which terminated in heart failure.

April 19, 1884, she was united in marriage to Joseph McCammant, who together with five of the eight children born of them, survives. Three children died in early youth or infancy. Those living are: Mrs. Anna Pickering and Mrs. Gladys Beatty, Ipava; Mrs. Harriett Pollitt and Mrs. Alice Kruzan of Canton and Albert of Table Grove.

Almost her entire life has been spent in and near Ipava and Table Grove where she was held in high esteem. A practical nurse by profession, she has many friends who are mourning her departure. Friends who learned to know her sunny smile and cheery word so appreciated by the sick. Fourteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild, one brother, one sister and a step-mother, also are left to mourn her passing.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon from the Clemens funeral home in Table Grove and interment was made in Ipava cemetery.

Ipavans attending the services included Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Pickering, Mr. and Mrs. Gail Beatty, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Ebbert, Mr. and Mrs. O. W. Stubblefield, Mrs. Ella Rose, Ella Hunter, Margaret Lee, Harry Hunter, Frank Hellyer, O. E. Carter, Ed, Wm. and P. J. Fleming.
