McQueen

IPAVA — George, son of Asa and Margaret McQueen, was born Nov. 15, 1850 near Smithfield and died at the home of his son, Albert, on West Main street, Saturday, June 21.

He was married to Caroline Huffman, who preceded him in death many years ago. Six children were born to them, three of whom survive and are Albert of Ipava, Ralph of Kewanee, and Mrs. Ilene Wicoll of Galesburg.

For many years, Mr. McQueen was employed by the Trickey Hardware and his genial, sunny disposition won him many friends.

Over a year ago he suffered a stroke of paralysis and never recovered. Mrs. Mary Glore of Ipava [film scratched — illegible] grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Monday from the M. E. church, the pastor, Rev. J. G. Fouts, officiating. Interment was made in the Ipava cemetery.
