Two accidental deaths occurred in Mason county during the past week. Following a two days’ illness caused by eating rat poison, Helen McCoy, 5 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard McCoy, living near Easton, died Friday. The little girl is thought to have eaten the poison while playing in the yard at the home Thursday.
The second death was that of Elmer Buse, of near Mason City, who was killed when a shotgun, carried by his father, was accidentally discharged.
