SCHUYLER COLFAX McCORMICK

Colfax McCormick

Colfax McCormick, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. David McCormick, and a brother of John McCormick of Rushville and Albert McCormick of Galesburg, met with a fatal accident at Los Angeles, Cal., Thursday of last week. A telegram received Friday gave only meagre information that he was killed by a street car while driving his auto into the city from his English walnut ranch, located near Los Angeles. Mr. McCormick had been a street car motorman and conductor for twenty-five years and had only recently resigned to engage in growing English walnuts. His brother, Albert left Galesburg Saturday for Los Angeles to accompany the body to his old home for burial. He is expected to reach Rushville Saturday in which event funeral services will be held Sunday. — Schuyler Co. Herald.
