Wilford Miller

VERMONT — Wilford T. Miller was born at Stanton, Virginia, July 22, 1856 and died in Rocky Ford, Feb. 22, 1920. He lived in the state of his nativity until 28 years of age when he came to Illinois. On August 2, 1893 he was married to Amanda Corbitt, of Vermont, Ill. Three children were born to them, Helen, who died in infancy, Paul H. and Amy L. Miller. Mr. Miller had been afflicted with asthma for nearly a score of years and came here to seek relief in 1917. His case seemed to be beyond temporary relief, and the disease with some complications caused his death. He was a terrible sufferer for all these years but bore his sufferings with great patience. Every care was given him and his going marks the passing of a just and loyal citizen, loved by all who knew him. Funeral services were held at the M. E. church on Wednesday afternoon, Dr. C. H. Stunts officiating and interment was made in Valley View cemetery. — Rocky Ford Enterprise.
