John Myer

John Myers died Friday night at the St. Mary’s hospital at Galesburg. Bowel trouble was the cause of his death. He was 41 years and 9 days.

The deceased was born in Bushnell August 11, 1869, and the greater portion of his life was spent in Lewistown. He has lived at Beardstown and Galesburg for a short time. About 18 months ago he moved from this city to Galesburg, where he was employed as brakeman on the Burlington.

Besides the wife he leaves 3 children, Donovan, Darrold and Vera Myers. Also four brothers, George, M. G., Jacob and Fred and a sister, Mabel. Also a half sister, Anna Nicholson. He was a member of the Burlington Relief and the Brotherhood of Trainmen.

For several months Mr. Myers had been sick, the complaint being bowel trouble. His death occurred following a third surgical operation.
