NANCY H. (KLEPPER) McLAREN

Mrs. Nancy McLaren.

Nancy H. Klepper, the subject of this sketch, was born in Kentucky, Jan. 6, 1826, and died at her home in Plymouth, Ill., May 29, 1900. She was united in marriage with John McLaren, Jan. 26, 1846, to them were born twelve children, eight of whom are living. Besides the children she is survived by her husband, nineteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Aunt Nancy, as she was familiarly known, lived near Astoria for a good many years, was well known here and beloved by everyone that knew her. She united with the M. E. church when a mere child and remained a faithful member until death claimed her. The funeral took place at the Methodist church in Plymouth, May 31st, Rev. Thompson officiating. A large concourse of neighbors and friends followed her remains to their last resting place in the Plymouth cemetery.
