IPAVA — Died in Colorado Dec. 20th of consumption, J. L. McCune, age 57 years. Remains were brought home for interment on the 22 inst. Deceased was born in Ohio in 1837, came with his parents to Illinois in 1840, and received a good education, considering the times in which he lived. He was united in marriage to Miss Martha Quillen in 1858. In this union six children were born, four of which are living and with the heart stricken mother and wife remain to mourn a father’s love and husband’s devotion. Rev. George of Lewistown preached the funeral and remains buried in Ipava cemetery followed by numerous friends and relatives.
