Died — At Pine Bluff, Ark., on Monday, Oct. 4, 1886, Zella, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. W. McCune, aged 5 years and 5 days.
The remains were brought to Astoria, arriving here Thursday morning last. The funeral services were held at the residence of J. D. Fenton at 9:30 o'clock a.m., Revs. Wilkins and Carson officiating. The deceased was well known to many of our citizens, and her death has cast a shadow of sorrow over all who knew her. Her bright and winsome ways had endeared her to the hearts of all, and her sweet voice will not soon be forgotten. The heartbroken parents have the sympathy of the entire community in their sad bereavement.
