He was born Nov. 11, 1942, in Detroit, Mich., the son of Joseph and Janette Shields LaRiviere. He married Sally Murray on Feb. 1, 1964, in Allen Park, Mich. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Christine (and David) Clark of Chino, Calif.; two grandchildren, Cirsten (and Colton) Underwood and Allen Clark; and one great-grandchild, Cooper Underwood.
He moved to Peoria to work for Edward Hine Company. He was self-employed in laser sales, he was an Aircraft, Powerplant Mechanic and a Journeyman web press operator.
He attended University of Detroit and had a Certificate in Manufacturing Engineering Degree. Together with his wife they owned and operated Al’s Hobby and Craft Shop in Peoria.
Cremation rites have been accorded through Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton. There will be no services.
