She was born April 19, 1927, in Rushville, a daughter of George Maurice and Lora Catherine Potter Thompson. She married Robert Wayne Lambert Jr. on Aug. 3, 1947, in Rushville. He preceded her in death on March 6, 1989.
She also was preceded in death by one brother, Maurice Junior (and Pat) Thompson; and one infant sister.
Surviving are three daughters, Cathy A. (and John) Atchison of Cape Coral, Fla., Janet (and Bob) Kays of Beardstown and Mary Louise (and Kerry) Ingles of Rushville; one son, Robert Lambert of Rushville; one sister, Sara Catherine Price; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and three great–great-grandchildren.
She graduated from Rushville High School with the class of 1945. She was employed by the Rushville Times for several years.
She was a member of Rushville First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, PEO and she served as an election judge. She was a charter member and former board member of Pandora’s Playhouse. She also belonged to Stitch and B’s Sewing Club and Money Makers Investment Club.
Funeral services were held Monday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Mr. David Haney officiating. Burial was in Rushville City Cemetery.
