She was born June 22, 1916, in Vermont Township, Fulton County. She was cared for and raised by her grandfather, George Stone. She married Rev. C. W. Leonard on June 14, 1961, in Rushville. He preceded her in death on May 29, 1978.
She also was preceded in death by her mother, Pearle Stone; and one stepdaughter, Marilynn Leonard Murphy.
Surviving are two grandsons, Terrance “Terry” Murphy of Benton, Ky., and Todd Murphy of Baton Rouge, La.; and several great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Vermont United Methodist Church and attended the HOPE (Rushville Free Methodist) Church. She had been active with the Schuyler Senior Center and the Rushville Meals-On-Wheels Program. She was a former board member of the Schuyler County Food Basket.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. David Ball officiating. Burial was in the Rushville City Cemetery.
