He was born July 16, 1955, in East St. Louis, the son of Amos Jack and Shirley Frances Rigney Ledbetter. He married Sandra Ledbetter on Feb. 6, 1976, in Belleville. He later married Paula Callis on Aug. 15, 2014, in Belleville. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Tanya (and Jason) Going of Glen Carbon and Dr. Michelle (and Ben) Hippard of Mascoutah; two sons, Daniel Barks of Greenville, S.C., and David (and Kristin) Barks of Columbia; two sisters, Lynn Hoese of Eureka, Mo., and Karen Ledbetter of St. Louis, Mo.; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He was an ironworker, working for Ironworker’s Local 392 in East St. Louis for over 30 years.
He was a member of Ironworker’s Local 392 of East St. Louis.
Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no services. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria is in charge of arrangements.
