He was born April 28, 1943, in Independence, Mo., a son of Kenneth D. and Frances Hood Luetkemeyer. He married Paulette D. Pukala in September 1965, in Staten Island, N.Y.
Surviving are his mother, Frances Grinter of Rushville; one daughter, Sandra (and Michael) Hale of Lee’s Summit, Mo.; one sister, Joan (and Gary) Irwin of Laurie, Mo.; one brother, Robert of Rushville; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by an infant son; his father; and one brother, John.
He graduated from Western Illinois University in Macomb and taught science and mathematics at Havana High School, retiring in June.
He attended Rushville First Presbyterian Church.
Cremation has been accorded. Services were held Monday at his church with Rev. Ann Kelson officiating.
