WILMA JEAN (MATHIS) LAMB

Wilma Lamb

Wilma Jean Lamb, 73, of Frederick died at 11:55 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2005, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Mount Sterling.

She was born Jan. 15, 1932, in Schuyler County, a daughter of Loyd and Eva Heffnar Mathis. She married Carlyle Lamb on Dec. 16, 1950, in Beardstown. He survives.

Also surviving are two sons, James Loyd "Mike" (and Leanne) of Rushville and Douglas of Frederick; two granddaughters; two brothers, Fred Mathis of Chillicothe and William (and Ruth) Mathis of DuQuoin; and two sisters, Norma Eddington of Beardstown and Patricia Breiland of Rushville.

She was preceded in death by one son, Carl Gene, and three brothers.

She worked for Wells LaMont Glove Co. in Beardstown and sold Avon products.

She was a member of the Frederick Christian Church and its ladies group. She also was a member of the Schuyler County Home Extension.

Services will be held today at 10:30 a.m. at her church with Rev. Mary Arnold officiating. Burial will be in Browning Cemetery. Wood Funeral Home in Rushville is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to her church or First United Methodist Church Youth Group.
