VIRGINIA L. (MEYER) LOVELAND

Virginia Loveland

Virginia L. Loveland, 71, of Lewistown died at 8:35 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, 2000, at Graham Hospital in Canton.

She was born Feb. 20, 1928, in Havana, a daughter of John and Geneda Welker Meyer. She married Max Loveland on June 23, 1948, in Jacksonville. He survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Dennis (and Gina) of Wahiawa, Hawaii, Douglas (and Teresa) of Lewistown; two daughters, Deborah (and Leon) Wright of Ipava; Melanie (and Joe) Hoffman of Lewistown; nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and five sisters, Bonnie Jones of Camden, Joyce Gibson of Fountain Valley, Calif., Donna Chapman of Dunfermline, Harriet Baldwin of Smithfield and Marilyn Waller of Lewistown.

She and her husband owned and operated Loveland Upholstery in Lewistown for over 25 years.

She was a member of the Illinois Street Christian Church in Lewistown. She was also a member of VFW Post 5001 Auxiliary and American Legion Post 1 Auxiliary, both of Lewistown.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Henry Memorial Home in Lewistown with Rev. Lester Beaman officiating. Visitation will be today from 6-8 p.m. at the memorial home. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown.

Memorials may be made to the Lewistown Rescue Squad.
