OPAL E. (BLACK) LEMASTER

Opal LeMaster

Opal E. LeMaster, 93, a resident of the Clayberg Fulton Nursing Center, formerly of Cuba, died at the nursing center at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, May 12, 1999.

She was born Aug. 9, 1905, in rural Smithfield, a daughter of Andrew and Lula (Howater) Black. She married Wayne LeMaster on June 17, 1935, in Bloomington. He preceded her in death on March 7, 1977. She was also preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews.

She was a member of the Cuba United Methodist Church. She was a retired grade school teacher from the Cuba school system, where she taught for many years. She enjoyed playing the organ and was a member of the Fulton County Organ Society.

Services were held Saturday, May 15, 1999, at the Henry Memorial Home in Cuba with Rev. Randy McGeehon officiating. Entombment was in the Bushnell Mausoleum.
