Kenneth Lefler

Kenneth L. Lefler, 58, of Ipava, died at 6:50 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 10, 1999, at his residence.

He was born Dec. 8, 1940, in Warren County, a son of Kenneth E. and Garnet Carnes Lefler. He married Caroline S. Husky on Dec. 18, 1997, in Havana. She survives.

Also surviving are his father and stepmother, Kenneth and Lucille Lefler of Lewistown; one son, Troy of Fort Worth, Texas; one stepson, Neal Wright of Washburn; five daughters, Teri Lightcap of Keller, Texas, Tonya McIntyre of Mesa, Ariz., Sarah Whitt of Waco, Texas, Marcy Lefler of Havana and Darcelle Lefler of Prophetstown; one brother, Thomas of Cuba; four sisters, Karen Isaacs of St. David, Linda Swise of Cuba, Dixie Martin of Urbana, Ohio, and Garnet Lefler of Salem, Ore.; and nine grandchildren.

His mother preceded him in death.

He owned and operated C&K Red Fox Grocery Store in Canton. He later managed the Oney’s Grocery Store in Lewistown. He last worked for Kitchen Cooked Potato Chips in Bushnell. He was a member of Spoon River Riders Motorcycle Club of Fulton County.

Services were held Tuesday at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton with Rev. Kevin VanTine officiating. Burial was in White Chapel Memory Gardens.
