Elizabeth B. Lindsay, 80, of Altoona, Iowa, formerly of Lewistown and Havana, died Sunday, May 19, 1996, at her daughter’s residence in Altoona.

She was born Aug. 14, 1915, in Ipava, the daughter of Harry and Dorothy Larson Bohannon. She married Oran Lindsay on July 30, 1940, in Havana. He died March 21, 1980. She also was preceded in death by one son, Kermit.

Surviving are two daughters, Sharon Taplin of Madison, Wis., and Phyllis McCormick of Altoona; one son, Mark Lindsay of Saline, Mich.; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one brother, Thomas Bohannon of Havana.

A retired elementary school teacher, she taught in Havana and Fulton County schools.

Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. today at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana, where visitation will be two hours before services. Rev. Frank Porter and Rev. Dorne Garner will officiate. Burial will be in Bath Cemetery in Bath.
