Funeral services for Jared Joe Lawyer, 21, of Industry, who was pronounced dead at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 1996, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb, were held Sunday at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb. Scott Jones officiating. Burial was in Industry Cemetery.
He died after his motorcycle struck a deer near Macomb.
He was born March 29, 1974, in Macomb, a son of Kenneth “Joe” and Rebecca Toland Lawyer.
Surviving are his parents of rural Industry; one brother, Nick Lawyer of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and grandparents, Kline and Hazel Toland of Industry.
His paternal grandparents and maternal grandmother preceded him in death.
He was a senior at Western Illinois University in Macomb, majoring in industrial engineering and technology. He worked at Aurelio’s Pizza and was a member of the YMCA, both in Macomb.
