Velma Leib Dies July 21

Mrs. Velma Leib, 81, of Apache Junction, Ariz., died at 7:45 a.m. on Saturday, July 21, 1990 at home following a lengthy illness.

She was born on Mar. 16, 1909 in Bader, a daughter of Harve and Ada Stauffer. She married William Leib. He survives.

Also surviving are one son, Wayne Leib, a daughter-in-law, Susan Leib and three grandchildren, Karen, J.R. and Kwynn, all of Apache Junction; two sisters, Ilo Clifford of Pekin and Evelyn Humphrey of Peoria; and one brother, Galen Stauffer of Green Valley.

The Leib family lived in Astoria, moving from here in the 1940’s.

Funeral services were held on July 24 at the First Baptist Church of Queen Creek with Rev. Melvin Ellsworth officiating. Burial was in the Memory Lawn Memorial Park in Phoenix.

A memorial fund has been established in Mrs. Leib’s memory at the Community Christian School, 1150 W. Superstition Blvd., Apache Junction, Ariz. 86220.
