Harry Lehman Of Canton Dies

Harry E. Lehman, 88, of Canton, died at 8:22 a.m. Monday, July 23, 1990, in Graham Hospital Extended Care Unit.

He was born Dec. 23, 1901, in Astoria, a son of Harvey and Annie Shawgo Lehman. He married Margaret M. David at Astoria on Feb. 20, 1927.

Surviving are his wife; one son, Donald Lee Lehman of Fisher; three daughters, Phyllis Norton and Doris Howarter, both of Canton, and Carman Shawgo of Trivoli; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one brother, Lloyd of Morton.

One son, one brother and one sister preceded him in death.

He was a retired employee of Caterpillar Inc., a member of Caterpillar Retirees Club, Church of the Brethren, Moose Lodge 784 and AARP. He was past president of the Wally Byrum Air Stream Club, a member of the Fisherman’s Club and Fulton County Elderly Nutrition Center.

Funeral services were to be at 11 a.m. today in his church with Rev. Milton Early officiating. Burial was in Coal Creek Dunkard Cemetery, rural Fairview. Murphy-Sedgwick Memorial Home is in charge of arrangements.
