Bobby L. Lael Dies At Age 60Bobby L. Lael Dies At Age 60Bobby L. Lael, 60, of Springfield, formerly of Beardstown, died at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, April 21, 1985, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
He was born April 28, 1924, a son of Ross and Ruth Shelley Lael. He married Beulah Ray Sullins. He later married Joann McClure.
Survivors include his father of Beardstown; five children, Tom Lael of Manchester, Conn., Chuck Lael of Beardstown, Mrs. Sue Palmer of Astoria, Michael and Keith, both at home; four brothers, Bill of Beardstown, Eugene, Gaylen and Wayne, all of Springfield; and 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
A veteran of World War II, he joined the National Guard after returning from service and remained until retiring. He was a member of the American Legion and VFW, both in Beardstown. He had also served on the Beardstown Police Force.
Funeral services were to be held at 11:00 a.m. today at Massie Funeral Home in Virginia. Burial will be in Walnut Ridge Cemetery at Virginia with Military Services.
