Lizzie B. Lam Of Astoria Dies

Mrs. Lizzie B. Lam, 93, of Astoria, died at 7:45 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, 1984, in Snyder Nursing Home in Rushville.

She was born Feb. 26, 1891, in Astoria, the daughter of Cyrus and Leah (Gibble) Bucher. She married Cleveland Lam Sept. 7, 1911, in Astoria. He died June 27, 1982.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Della Groff of Brookings, Ore., Mrs. Nellie White of Lemont, Mrs. Bessie Stauffer of Trotwood, Ohio, and Mrs. Velma Ritchie of Gaston, Ind.; two sons, Robert Lam of Springville, Iowa and Wayne Lam of Smithshire; 20 grandchildren; and 37 great-grandchildren.

She was the last of the children of Cyrus and Leah (Gibble) Bucher, being preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters and two grandchildren.

She was a member of the Astoria Church of the Brethren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Astoria Church of the Brethren with Rev. Fred Meisenheimer officiating. Burial was in Woodland Cemetery.
