WALTER DONALD “DON” LEAR

W. D. Lear Of Rushville Dies

Walter Donald (Don) Lear, 50, of Rushville, died at 11:55 a.m. Thursday, April 24, 1975, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville after an extended illness.

He was born in Schuyler County on Aug. 1, 1924, the son of Fred and Mabel Winner Lear.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and had been employed as a truck driver.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Mabel Halstead of Rushville; three brothers; and two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Mae Seward of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Mrs. Betty Slaight of Lewistown. He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral services were held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Roby Funeral Chapel in Rushville with Rev. Lawrence Childers officiating. Burial was in the Rushville Cemetery.
