William Hale Long Killed In Georgia

Mrs. Hazel Welker received word of the death of her cousin, William Hale Long, 41, of Crystal Lake.

Mr. Long died shortly after he was struck by a car while crossing a street in a small town in Georgia. Long, his wife, two children, mother and mother-in-law, were enroute home from a vacation in Florida.

He was born Aug. 19, 1929 at Astoria, a son of Victor and Marion Hale Long.

Survivors include the widow, the former Ann Porter; two children, Barbara and James; his mother, a former home economics teacher at Rushville. His father preceded him in death.

Among those attending funeral services in Crystal Lake were uncles, Martin Long of Peoria and Frank Long of Rushville, and cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Long of Rushville.
