RITA (ROBERTSON) LEE

Mrs. Rita Lee Dies In California

Mrs. June Condit returned Saturday from San Bernardino, Calif., having been called there by the death of her sister, Mrs. Rita Lee, who passed away April 2, after a long illness.

Mrs. Lee was one of seven daughters born to William and Ella Gragg Robertson, near Rushville on June 13, 1899. She was married to Parker Lee, Nov. 7, 1923, in El Paso, Tex. He preceded her in death in September, 1966. She had been a resident of California since 1927.

Rita had worked with the Red Cross for twenty-five years, having operated the switchboard much of that time. Being one of the Pink Ladies of Community Hospital was a great and rewarding pleasure to her. She was a member of the Valley Women’s Club and was a very active member of the First Congregational Church where her presence and services have been greatly missed.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Diane Keefer of Rialto, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. June Condit of Astoria, Mrs. Fann Anderson of San Diego, Mrs. Carolyn Wood of San Bernardino; and two grandchildren, Mark and Shari Keefer.

Services were held at 2:30 p.m. on Apr. 6 at Mark B. Shaw Memorial Chapel, with burial at Montecito Memorial Park.
