Death Comes To Harold Long At Macomb Hospital

Harold Keith Long, son of Keith and Bessie (Schisler) Long, was born in Vermont township, northwest of Vermont on March 4, 1927. He passed away at the St. Francis hospital in Macomb, on May 12, 1939, at the age of 12 years, one month and 16 days.

He was an obedient and unselfish child who was eager to do favors for others, and especially to be helpful to his mother.

He leaves to mourn his passing his father and mother, three brothers, Charles, Eugene and Johnny, and two sisters, Lois Ann and Mary Lou, besides uncles, aunts, cousins, and a host of friends in the neighborhood and Sunday school.

Funeral services were conducted in the Astoria Church of the Brethren Sunday afternoon by the pastor, Rev. Lester E. Fike, assisted by Rev. Fred Thompson. Burial in the Astoria cemetery.
