TY LANE

Aged Browning Man Found Dead Tuesday Evening

Tie Lane, a well known fisherman and hunter, was found dead near his cabin boat located about a mile east of Browning on the Illinois river, Tuesday evening at about 5:30 o’clock. Death is thought to have been due to heart failure.

Mr. Lane was about 77 years old, a brother of Mrs. Amanda Hamm of Astoria. The aged man lived alone on a cabin boat and hunted and trapped for a livelihood. Mr. Lane evidently had just returned from his traps, for when found he had a number of dead muskrats.
