Breeds Boy Dies From Eating Green Walnuts

William Murray Lindsey, 10 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. David Lindsey, residing near Breeds, died suddenly Monday morning from acute gastritis believed to have been caused by eating walnuts not fully ripened.

Coroner Floyd A. Smith of Canton was called and held an inquest Monday forenoon. The verdict was that death was from natural causes.

The boy was taken suddenly ill with terrific pains in the stomach and died before medical assistance could reach him. His attack is attributed to the effect of eating a quantity of newly gathered walnuts Sunday. — Canton Register.
