J. E. LaneJ. E. LaneJ. E. Lane of Macomb died at the Quincy Soldiers Home recently, aged 85 years, five months and 22 days. He was one of the best known of McDonough county citizens, having been sheriff, county clerk, treasurer and perhaps held other positions in that county since the civil war. He was a member of Co. A. 16th Illinois infantry in the civil war.
