Homer Lane, a brakeman on the Burlington, was killed Saturday at Bushnell. He was literally cut to pieces when the wheels of a heavily loaded car passed over his body.
Mr. Lane was a resident of Galesburg, although born in Beardstown, Jan. 14, 1885.
