She was born Aug. 9, 1938, in Bernadotte, a daughter of Marvin M. and Farol I. Lindsey. She married Billy Dean Oliver on June 28, 1957. She later married Dr. Richard Kerr of Macomb. They both preceded her in death.
She also was preceded in death by one brother.
Surviving are two daughters, Lesa A. (and Steve) Derry of Macomb and Stacey L. (and Craig) Miller of Rushville; three stepdaughters, Shala Kisling, Stephanie Kerr and Stacey Goralezyk; one stepson, Scott Kerr; one sister, Sharon Lane of Sandwich; 14 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
She graduated from Astoria High School in 1957. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Macomb Women’s Club and was Women of the Year in 2019. She also was a Canasta Marathon Player.
Before retirement she was employed at the Macomb Savings and Loan, Macomb Medical Group, Dr. Richard Kerr’s office and the Jefferson House.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Wesley United Methodist Church in Macomb with Reverend Dr. Scott Grulke officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Cremation will be accorded after the services. Inurnment will be in Oakwood Cemetery at a later date. Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home in Macomb is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital, Shriners Hospital for Children or MDH Hospice. A guestbook will be available to sign online.
