He was born Feb. 27, 1956, in Mississippi County, Mo., a son of William Ray and Mary L. Rickett Keck. He first married Rissa Parsano on June 30, 1979, in Rushville. He later married Venus Ashens. She survives.
Also surviving are his former wife Rissa Keck of Bartonville and their daughter Shanna (and Josey) Flowers of Rushville; three brothers, James (and Joyce) Keck of Vine Grove, Ky., Tommy (and Sheila) Keck of West Monroe, La., and Clyde Keck of Spencer, W. Va.; two sisters, Georgia (and Clinton) Bailey of Holiday, Fla., and Mary Keck (and companion Nathan Edeus) of Rock Falls; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Eddie Keck.
He was a 1976 graduate of the Illinois School for the Deaf in Jacksonville. For many years, he operated his own handyman and lawn care businesses.
There will be no services. The Wood Funeral Home in Rushville was in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to an education fund for his grandchildren or the Illinois School for the Deaf.
