She was born Sept. 5, 1941, in Hillview, the daughter of Claude and Della Bell Moore. She married Carl Eugene “Gene” Kirkham on Oct. 4, 1959, in Springfield. He preceded her in death on July 16, 1997.
Surviving are two sons, Bruce (and Patty) Kirkham of Cherry Valley and Brian Kirkham of Champaign; one daughter, Penny (and Mark) Billingsley of Cuba; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was a life-long housewife and was a supervisor at Rushville Hardees for 20 years before retiring in 2007. She was a former member of the Phoenix Opera House Board of Directors, Rushville Junior Women’s Club and Schuyler District #1 School Board.
Memorial services were held Tuesday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Mr. David Haney officiating. Inurnment followed in Rushville City Cemetery.
