George "Bill" KerrGeorge W. "Bill" Kerr, 86, of Cuba died at 5:45 p.m. Dec. 27, 2011, at Graham Hospital in Canton.

He was born March 26, 1925, in Rushville, a son of Fred and Myra Fretueg Kerr. He married Lila L. Wear Brown on Aug. 31, 1969, in Lewistown. She died Jan. 9, 2010.

He also was preceded in death by two daughters, Virginia Ann Lashbrook and Karen Sue Gilleland; and one brother, Virgil Kerr.

Surviving are two daughters, Sandra (and Johnny) Ortega of Adair and Connie Kerr-Moszer of Huntington Beach, Calif.; one stepson; one sister, Betty Schinall of Pittsfield; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and four step grandchildren.

He was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Army.

He was a custodian and worked in maintenance at Clayberg Nursing Home in Cuba. He also worked as a butcher and a welder.

He was a member of Lewistown VFW Post 5001 and American Legion Post 2910.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Cuba with Pastor Tony Lashbrook officiating. Burial will be in Cuba Cemetery with military services conducted by Lewistown VFW Post 5001 and Cuba American Legion Russell Smith Post 533.
