Harmon KellyHarmon A. Kelly, 75, of Thayer, died at 11:10 a.m. Sept. 20, 2010, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

He was born Aug. 21, 1935, in Fayette County, the son of Tony B. and Millie LuDicie Selock Kelly. He married Wilma M. Hipsher on June 11, 1955, in Central City. She preceded him in death on Aug. 27, 2010.

Surviving are two sons, Terry G. (and Nancy) Kelly of Virden and Steven L. (and Jacki) Kelly of Astoria; one daughter, Kathy M. (and Kevin) Cochrane of Franklin Grove; one brother, Joe E. (and Eleanor) Kelly of Brownstown; three sisters, Reva M. Durbin of Hartford, Ala., Vera R. Miller of St. Elmo and Eileen (and Bob) Osborne of Vandalia; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was a retired carpenter and was a member of Carpenters Union, Local #16 in Springfield.

Services will be at held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Calvert and Ferry Funeral Home in Virden with Pastor Gerald Phillips officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the West Cemetery in Thayer.
