Lila KerrLila L. Kerr, 73, of Cuba died at 10:20 a.m. Jan. 9, 2010, at Graham Hospital Extended Care in Canton.

She was born Dec. 25, 1936, in Mount Sterling, a daughter of Bill and Audrey Peterson Wear. She married George W. Kerr on Aug. 31, 1969, in Lewistown. He survives.

Also surviving are one son, Roger (and Brenda) Brown of Hannibal, Mo.; two step daughters, Sandra (and Johnny) Ortega of Adair and Connie Kerr-Moszer of Huntington Beach, Calif.; one brother, Earl (and Catherine) Wear of Rock Island; three sisters, Norma Huss and Ruth (and Roy) Baker, both of Quincy and Mary Catherine (and Ray) Warren of Bureau; 16 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Kevin Brown; one great-grandson, Dantae Wells; and two stepdaughters, Karen Gilleland and Virginia Ann Lashbrook.

She worked at Davison Clever in Quincy for 20 years, she then worked as a CNA and social service director at Clayberg Nursing Home in Cuba for 25 years. She also was a cake decorator.

She was of Christian faith.

She was a member of Lewistown VFW Post 5001 women’s auxiliary.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Cuba with Rev. Victor Randall officiating. Burial will be in Cuba Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday at the memorial home.
