Fern E. Ketcham, 90, of Heartland Health Care Center in Canton died there at 7:15 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2003.
She was born Aug. 30, 1912, in Astoria, a daughter of Samuel G. and Mary L. Elgin Bucher. She married Roy E. Ketcham on April 28, 1934, in Palmyra, Mo. He preceded her in death.
She also was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters.
Surviving are two sons, Milton (and Patricia) and Edward (and Becky), both of Canton; her caregiver, Rubie Bouc of Canton; one daughter, Joyce (and Bill) Abdon of Sweetser, Ind.; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was a member of the Church of the Brethren in Canton and its Women's Fellowship.
Services were held Friday at Murphy-Sedgwick Memorial Home with Rev. Kevin Kessler officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.
