Lucille Kingery, 85, of Astoria died at 2:45 a.m. Monday, Oct. 1, 2001, at Astoria Manor in Astoria.
She was born April 2, 1916, in Vermont, a daughter of Thomas and Mollie (Anno) Phillips. She married John W. Kingery on Dec. 21, 1932, in Rushville. He died Jan. 18, 1976.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Surviving are one daughter, Judy Shirley of Santa Paula, Ca.; and one granddaughter.
She worked in the kitchen at Camp Ellis during World War II. She was a nurse's aid at area nursing homes and a homemaker.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Rev. Cliff Parry officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in Summum Cemetery.
