Loine Koelling

Loine Koelling, 86, of Canton died at 9:50 p.m. Monday, April 9, 2001, at Sunbridge Care Center in Twin Falls, Idaho.

She was born April 12, 1914, in Ray, a daughter of Ned D. and Daisy Robinson Ashwood. She married F. Elmer Koelling on March 31, 1933, in Winchester. He died in July 1968.

She also was preceded in death by one daughter, Esther L. Koelling, one grandchild and three brothers.

Surviving are two sons, Jack of Canton and Richard (and Betty) of Boise, Idaho; two daughters, Patricia (and John) Benedetto of St. David and Merry (and Lee) Chambers of Smithfield; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Geneva (and Archie) Kaler of Canton.

She retired from the United Electric Coal Co. Buckheart Mine.

She was a member of Havana Order of Eastern Star.

She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Canton.

Services were held Monday at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton with Rev. Paul Walles officiating. Burial was in Orendorff Cemetery in rural Canton.

Memorials may be made to the court-appointed special advocate of Knox County.
