Sandra Sue Kost, 50, of Lake Camelot died at 1:45 a.m. Monday, Feb. 5, 2001, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
She was born Feb. 21, 1950, in Canton, a daughter of Charles and Myra Armstrong Martin. She married Dennis Gene Mortland. She later married Bruce W. Kost on June 18, 1995, in Nassau, Bahamas. He survives.
Also surviving are her mother, Myra Smith of Canton; two sons, David Mortland of Peoria and Danny Mortland of Canton; one stepson, Brian Kost of Vermont; one stepdaughter, Stacey (and Pete) Savage of Beardstown; one grandson; three stepgrandchildren; two sisters, Linda Enders and Jeannine (and Gary) Murphy, both of Canton; one brother, Michael (and Jeanie) Martin of Morehead City, N.C.; and one stepbrother, Dan (and Melanie) Smith of Canton.
She was preceded in death by her father; her stepfather, Hiram Smith; and one granddaughter.
She worked as a bookkeeper for KRX Trucking in Vermont for the past nine years.
She previously had worked for ACPM Podiatry Group in its Canton office for six years as a bookkeeper.
She attended Northwoods Community Church in Peoria.
Private services and burial will be Saturday in Morehead City, N.C. There will be no visitation. Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to The Children's Hospital of Illinois at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center.
