Foster B. Kenner

Foster Burdette Kenner, 76, of Colchester, formerly of Jacksonville, died at 2:15 p.m. Thursday, April 20, 1995 at the Snyder’s Vaughn-Haven Nursing Home in Rushville.

He was born June 4, 1918 in Macomb, the son of Roddy and Bessie Watts Kenner. He married Helen Thurman Aug. 17, 1940 in Colchester. She survives.

He is also survived by one son, Craig Kenner of Concord, Calif.; one daughter, Penny Mallicoat of Vermont; three grandchildren, Aynsley and Adam Kenner and Sarah Mallicoat; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He was a graduate of Colchester High School, Moody Bible Institute and Tucson, Ariz. Business College. He was a 1980 retired postal employee, taught Bible classes and did missionary work in the Aura Valley in Arizona at the cotton and migrant camps. He was a leader of Explorers Bible Class in Jacksonville and attended the Bible Church of Vermont.

Graveside services were held Saturday at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Colchester with Rev. Ernest Louderman officiating.

Memorials may be made to the Vermont Bible Church.

Jones Mortuary in Colchester was in charge of arrangements.
