WILLIAM KRISHER

William Krisher

William Krisher, aged 41 years of near Glasford, was shot and killed by his seventeen year old son, Douglas, Wednesday of last week when the youth intervened in a family argument to protect his mother. Enraged by ill luck at a turkey raffle and apparently inflamed by drink, the older Krisher came home and awakened his wife. An argument started in which Krisher became abusive. The boy seized a shotgun and rushed to his mother’s aid. The elder Krisher sprang at him and tried to get the gun. It was discharged, the shot going wild. The boy then covered his father and told him to stand still, but instead the man lunged for the weapon which was again discharged in the tussle. The charge ripped an artery in his thigh. The son tried to stop the flow of blood. He rushed for physicians and then gave himself up to the authorities.
