ALBERT KENNEDY

Auto Accident

Scott Allender and Al Kennedy of Abingdon, are dead, and George Whaley, also of that city, is a patient at St. Mary’s hospital, Galesburg as a result of an automobile accident which occurred Sunday of last week north of Avon. While there were no witnesses to the accident, the three men were driving south toward Avon, in a Dodge coupe, owned by Allender and he at the wheel. At a point a short distance north of “shoofly” crossing the car crashed thru the protecting fence into a deep gully and burrowed into an embankment. The car is a complete wreck. Liquor found on the person of at least one of the injured men and a generous supply in the wrecked car divulges the real cause of the accident.
