MARY ELLEN (LEHOW) KIRKBRIDE

VERMONT — Mary Ellen Lehow, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lehow, was born in Northumberland, Pa., April 30, 1836; died, June 11, 1920, at the age of 84 years, 1 month and 12 days. She was the youngest of a family of ten children. She was married to Mr. Wesley Kirkbride of Northumberland, Pa., Oct. 20, 1853. Following their marriage they moved to Vermont, Ill., where they have resided until death called them. To them were born five sons and three daughters. Charles, Luther, Loar, Homer, Jesse, Anna, Bertha and Mamie. Bertha and Mamie passed away 22 years ago. Her husband preceded her in death a little over three years ago. The surviving children are: Anna, Charles, Luther, Loar and Jesse of Vermont, and Homer of Bushnell, Ill. The funeral services were conducted from the late residence of the deceased Sunday afternoon at three o’clock by Rev. Fred Wilson, pastor of the Christian church, and the remains interred in the Vermont cemetery.
