VERMONT — Sarah E. Gregory, daughter of Madison and Susan Gregory, was born in Crawfordsville, Indiana, August 25th, 1838, and died in Vermont, Illinois, February 24th, 1920, at the age of 81 years, 6 months and 30 days. She was united in marriage with Elazer Kirkbride, March 24th, 1855. There were born to them eleven children, one of whom died in infancy. Two brothers, Benjamin and Oscar, and two sisters, Mrs. Ida Crabtree and Mrs. Martha Etta Williams, have preceded her in death. Harrison, Sherman and George of Vermont, Frank of Bradford, Illinois and Mrs. Susanna Scott of Macomb, Mrs. Abbie Mercer of Lewistown survive her. There are 22 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Milton of Kansas and Samuel of Colorado also survive her. Funeral services were conducted in the home Wednesday afternoon February 25th, by Rev. Olin W. Rose, and burial in the Vermont cemetery.
